Raking Method

In the classic raking method, you rake up the leaves in your yard and gather them into a big pile. Then comes the task of lifting those leaves and tossing them into a bag. During that task, much to your dismay, the wind carries them back to the areas that you just cleaned. But with a tarp, you can rake them directly onto the tarp and then use it as a funnel for pouring the leaves into a trash bag. It’s a process that will relieve you from some of the frustration and effort of achieving this chore.
Mowing Method
You may be scratching your head at this suggestion, but your mower may hold the key to making cleaning up leaves a much easier task. Especially for homeowners with large yards, it will cut downtime and save you from some of the physical exertion that raking up leaves requires. Particularly, mulching mowers are perfect for this task. Just put your mulching mower on its highest setting and go over your yard once or twice to get the job done. Then afterward, you can use the chopped-up bits of leaves as mulch for your garden or compost pile.
